As the VP of Events, I was in charge of planning and running any large event throughout the year. I started off by hosting a Startup Survival event for local high school students to engage in critical thinking and entrepreneurship to create a rival company to a large existing business like Uber or Netflix. I also organized and hosted the semi-annual Global Pitch Competition for groups from each BUS100 class to pitch their business ideas that helped one of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and was based in a country outside of the U.S. Here is a breakdown of each event:

This picture shows the event and the 100+ students working in groups with students from numerous other schools.

Along with many students and CEO e-board members, I walked around the room assisting groups wherever possible.

I opened the ceremony with remarks about the wonderful planning job by everyone involved and the amazing work and effort the students had put into their presentations. I also introduced every presenting group.
