My role as Treasurer of Bryant University’s Data Science Association involved creating and organizing the annual budget for the club. I was also involved in planning speaker events to get members engaged with recent alumni of Bryant’s data science program.
Throughout the semester, Data Science Association hosted a few alumni speaker panels where we invited Travelers Insurance employees who had graduated from Bryant to come speak on their transition process after Bryant and what their daily work involves.
Last spring, we also had the honor to visit the Fidelity office in Boston as a club to see their advancements in AI and robotics. We got to visit their office robot and see the numerous interactive projects they are involved in working with the financial space.
